Fodor's Expert Review Lavenham Priory

You can immerse yourself in Lavenham's Tudor heritage at this sprawling house, one of the most widely photographed in the village. The oldest parts of the house date back to the 13th century. Two wings are rented out as self-catering cottages; both are spacious and extremely atmospheric. Prints and wood furnishings fill the bedrooms; each has oak floors and timber ceilings, and some have locally crafted four-poster beds.
