Although it's in a rather inauspicious building, the diminutive Finches is a well-run B&B with prices that make it an excellent value. Bedrooms are large and somewhat plain but have a few welcome extras like iPod docking stations and free Wi-Fi. Breakfasts are tasty, with slightly more variety than the usual "full English" option. Hosts Jane and Nigel Boulding are sweet, attentive, and clearly enjoy what they do. Cambridge town center is a 20-minute walk, or there's a bus stop just down the street.
