The bishop of Ely founded Cambridge's oldest college in 1281. Parts of the dining hall date from 1290, although the hall is most notable for powerful, 19th-century stained glass by William Morris and his contemporaries. The adjacent church of Little St. Mary's served as the college chapel until 1632, when the current late-Gothic chapel was built.

Small college, not especially distinguished, but it's free unlike the rest.
