King's Lynn Arts Centre

Fodor's Review:

St. George's Guildhall, the largest surviving medieval guildhall in England, forms part of the King's Lynn Arts Centre, an arts and theater complex administered by the National Trust, and the focal point for the annual King's Lynn Festival. Galleries in refurbished barns hold interesting contemporary exhibitions, and the center has a crafts fair every December. The Crofters Coffee House (01553/773134), in a brick-vaulted wine cellar underneath the guildhall, is a budget choice for breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea.

  • Cost: Free
  • Open: Mar.-Oct., Tues.-Sat. 10-5; Nov.-Feb., Tues.-Sat. 10-4
