You can immerse yourself in Lavenham's Tudor history at this luxurious B&B in a sprawling house that dates in part to the 13th century. The beamed great hall, sitting room (with TV and VCR), and 3 acres of gardens are great places to relax, and a walled herb garden is the scene for evening drinks in warm weather. Prints and wood furnishings fill the bedrooms; each has oak floors and ancient timbered ceilings, and some have four-posters. Reserve well in advance.

Lavenham Priory is a beautiful and sweetly intimate guest house. Our room was enormous and luxurious, with loads of charm, exposed beams and sloping floors. The proprietors are warm and gracious, and have done an excellent job of creating a warm and unique setting. Breakfasts were generous and delightful. We would definitely stay there again, and hope to soon.
