Cotswold House Review

This luxury hotel in the center of Chipping Campden injects contemporary design into a stately 18th-century manor house, and from the swirling staircase in the entrance to the guest rooms studded with contemporary art and high-tech gadgetry, it's a winning formula. The lounges invite lingering, and the patio and spacious garden offer seclusion. The lively Hicks' Brasserie (£££) presents creative takes on English and Mediterranean dishes and is open all day (it's worth a stop even if you aren't staying here).

Charming hotel in a quintessential English village perfectly situated in the Cotswolds. We enjoyed a lovely suite situated just off the beautiful gardens, The atmosphere is friendly and the rooms are filled with the details which make for a comfortable stay, including good lighting, sometimes a rarity in England. The restaurant and bar are very good although I would avoid the brasserie. We have alrady recommended this hotel to friends who are traveling there in July.
