Just steps from Bath Abbey, a gorgeous square dominated by a majestic plane tree is home to this welcoming B&B. Parts of the building date from 1689, but contemporary design lightens the spacious, pastel-hue rooms and the bathrooms are up-to-the-minute. The Lord Nelson room is extra big, with a four-poster, separate sitting area, and handsome fireplace; there are also family rooms. The hosts are ready with tips for visiting the city and beyond.
