National Express serves the region from London's Victoria Coach Station. Megabus, a budget service that you book on the Internet, serves Cheltenham and Gloucester. First covers the area around Bath. Stagecoach, Castleways, and Pulhams operate in the Gloucestershire and Cotswolds region. For all bus inquiries, call Traveline. Travel times vary; it can take about three hours to get to Burford or Cheltenham, three to four hours to get to Bath. Trains are faster. Although you can get around the Cotswolds by bus, service between some towns can be extremely limited, perhaps only twice a week.

Some bus routes to major Cotswold destinations are as follows (when not stated otherwise, routes are serviced by National Express buses and depart from London's Victoria Coach Station). Bourton-on-the-Water: take Pulhams buses from Cheltenham or Stow-on-the-Wold (no Sunday bus service in winter). Broadway: from Cheltenham, four Castleways coaches daily serve the town Monday to Saturday, and four Stagecoach coaches serve the town on Sunday. Burford (A40 turnout): Swanbrook buses leave from Cheltenham three times daily Monday to Saturday, once on Sunday; from London, change at Oxford. Cheltenham and Cirencester: buses leave London hourly. Moreton-in-Marsh: buses depart five times daily from London, changing at Cirencester. Painswick: Stagecoach buses run from Cheltenham (hourly Monday to Saturday). Stow-on-the-Wold: Pulhams buses run six times daily (not Sunday in winter) from Moreton-in-Marsh. Winchcombe: from Cheltenham, 11 Castleways buses leave daily Monday to Saturday.
