Getting Here and Around
From Copenhagen, follow E20 toward Esbjerg via the Storebælt Bridge (toll 205 DKr). At the highway, bear right after Exit 60 Fredericia V and continue on E45 north toward Århus/Vejle. Stay on E45 until you reach Århus. Alternativey, the DSB train takes approximately four hours and costs DKr 311. Abildskous Route 888 offers the cheapest bus service from Copenhagen to Århus at DKr 290.
From Billund, take Route 18 towards Horsens and pick up E45 toward Århus after taking Exit 57 Horsens south. At the Billund Airport, buses run directly to Århus. The trip takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes and costs DKr 180.
Århus airport, 45 km northeast of the city, has regular flights to Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Oslo, and London, as well as charters to southern Europe. Hourly buses run between Århus Airport and the train station in town. The trip takes around 50 minutes and costs DKr 90. There's also bus service (Bus 212) between Århus Airport and Randers and Ebeltoft. A taxi ride from the airport to central Århus takes 45 minutes and costs well over DKr 500.
For direct Zealand to Jutland passage, you can take a car-ferry hydrofoil from Zealand's Odden to Århus (one hour). You can also take the slower, but less expensive, car ferry from Kalundborg (on Zealand) to Århus (2 hours, 40 minutes). Both ferries travel five times daily on weekdays, and slightly less often on weekends. For ferry schedules and information, call Mols-Linien.
