This Middle Eastern restaurant hops with young locals, families, couples, and anyone who appreciates good value and spicy fare. The inexpensive all-you-can-eat buffet is heaped with lentils, tomatoes, potatoes, olives, hummus, warm pita bread, yogurt and cucumbers, pickled vegetables, and bean salads. Don't be put off by the hordes—just join them, either in the restaurant's endless labyrinth of dining rooms or in the jam-packed summertime patio. The main location is on Kompagnistræde, between Christiansborg Slot and Strget; there's a second branch behind Vor Frue Kirken.

Riz Raz is a treat. It is one of the few food bargains we found in Copenhagen. The vegetarian buffet has a wide variety of well prepared food. We also ordered meat entres and enjoyed them very much. We ate outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the people watching.
