Ordrupgaard Café

Fodor's Review:

Before or after your visit to the Ordrupgaard museum, wind down next door at the soothing Ordrupgaard Café, housed in the former stable of the manor house-turned-museum. Large picture windows overlook the wooded grounds, and museum posters of French and Danish artists line the café's whitewashed walls. Sink into one of the rustic cane chairs and enjoy the daily changing menu of light Danish-French dishes, such as the smoked salmon drizzled with lime sauce or a fluffy ham quiche served with fresh greens. For an afternoon snack, try a pastry along with a pot of coffee that you can refill as often as you wish. On Sunday from noon to 2 it serves a hearty brunch of eggs, bacon, smoked ham, and rye bread. The café is open Tuesday-Sunday, noon-5. Credit cards are not accepted.
