In operation since the turn of the 20th century, the Grand Hotel went through a soft refurbishment (new carpets, linens, lighting, pictures) of its lobby and all of its guest rooms in the spring of 2005. An Italian restaurant serves good fare, and there's also a café on-site. The old-style lobby is presided over by a crystal chandelier, and this hotel has definite old-world charm. Some guest rooms have tiny (albeit newly painted) bathrooms, so inquire about this when booking, if you want a more spacious bathroom.
