Sax Vintage Design Hotel Review

It is almost impossible to capture the ambience of this hotel in words without ingesting some sort of hallucinogen. The interior design is an explosion, and celebration, of all things excellent during the 1950s, '60s, and '70s—and everything, from the lamps to the bar stools, is original, believe it or not. Rooms keep the cheerfully retro vibes going with mushroom lamps and copious amounts of orange. The hotel staff even goes the extra mile and offers happy hour between 4 and 6 pm every day, including free wine, beer, and homemade pastries (also, in true '70s style, a bowl of salty snacks is always available in the lounge). The design is loud, intrusive, and wrong, which is what makes it oh so right.
