This gastronomic beachhead contains a wine bar and wine store, a day café, a cheese shop, a brandy retailer, and this exclusive cellar restaurant -- which raids all the best supplies upstairs. Fine wines from around the world are given a place of pride in the restaurant, supported by elaborate cuisine: scallops with Périgord truffles and stewed celery, black lentils with black-pepper tuna, Canadian lobster, roast duck, and venison with cranberries and chanterelles. Be sure to save room -- the fig strudel and tarte tatin with walnut ice cream represent a sweet pinnacle for desserts in Central Europe.
