Café Savoy

Café Savoy Review

Stellar service and elegant meals of high quality at moderate prices are de rigueur here. This restored café, a onetime favorite of the city's fin-de-siècle Jewish community, serves everything from meal-sized split-pea and cream of spinach soups to Wiener schnitzel, with huge salads complemented by fresh breads from the in-house bakery. The house cake, topped with marzipan, makes a properly sweet finish. If you're looking for eggs, Savoy's breakfasts are without question some of Prague's best. It's just south of Malá Strana, but easily walkable from Malostranske namesti.

I wanted to treat a girlfriend to a really fancy dinner. The Savoy is as high-class as you can get over the river from the Old Town.
The food was very good and the service perfect---waiters with all the class---but it was not as good value as i would have expected for the money spent.
