Fodor's Review:

The work of Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach, the famed Viennese architectural virtuoso of the day, is showcased in this beige-and-brown palace. Construction began in 1713 and finally finished in 1729. Enter the building to glimpse at the battered but finely carved staircase, done by the master himself, and the Italian frescoes depicting Apollo. Clam-Gallas palác is now used for art exhibitions and concerts. If you don't see anyone selling tickets at a table on the street, go inside and up to the desk on the second floor.

  • Open: Tues.-Sun. 10-6
