This is the place to come for entrance tickets, guided tours, audio-tour players for listening to recorded tours in English, tickets to cultural events held at the castle, and money changing. You can wander around a great deal of the castle for free, and this offers an enticing opportunity to save money; you can still enter St. Vitus's, though you won't be able to get close to the oldest parts. There are two ticketing options. The cheaper price allows entrance to St. Vitus's Cathedral (the oldest parts and the tower), the Royal Palace, and Golden Lane, and this will provide more than enough castle-visiting for most people; a more expensive ticket includes St. George's Basilica, the powder tower, and an extensive exhibit on the history of the castle. Tickets are valid for two days. You can also pay separately for Golden Lane and St. George's Basilica. Other attractions include the National Gallery and Toy Museum, which have separate admission charges. If you just want to walk through the castle grounds, note that the gates close at midnight from April through October and at 11 PM the rest of the year, while the gardens are open from April through October only.
