Fodor's Review

The refined look of Essensia, with arched whitewashed ceilings and beige high-backed chairs, is practically a given considering it's inside the majorly chic Mandarin Oriental hotel. Head chef Jiří Stift has created a menu that tries to please all tastes, with traditional veal schnitzels and rib eyes sharing real estate with more exotic Asian dishes like Thai fish cakes and tandoori-baked swordfish. There are a few missteps, but overall Essensia serves some of the best dishes, from any continent, in the city.
