Getting Here and Around

There's a rise from river level of nearly 1,300 vertical feet to get to the Castle Area, so if you're on foot, be prepared for a climb. Pace yourself, not only to catch your breath but also to get views of the colorful jumble of terra-cotta-tile rooftops and the spires of the city center. The best subway approach is via line A, while bus enthusiasts should climb onto a 22 or 23.
