Moravský Kras

If all these regimented baroque palaces leave you feeling out of touch with nature, take a short trip north from Brno up the Svitava Valley and into the Moravský Kras (Moravian Karst), an area of limestone formations, caves, rivers, and tunnels. The most interesting part of the karst is in the vicinity of Blansko, and includes several caves. You can arrange tours 8 km (5 mi) from the outskirts of Blansko at the Skalní Mlýn Hotel or the Moravian Karst information office.
