Palác Akropolis

$-$$, Eclectic, Zizkov

Fodor's Review:

Though the concert venue-club downstairs is pulsing at night, this restaurant is a draw in its own right, in part due to the loopy interior from Czech artist Frantisek Skála. Steel-covered menus offer large portions of traditional Czech fare such as pork cutlets and potato pancakes, as well as Mexican-style soups and Buffalo wings, all at reasonable prices. Aquariums containing Skála's industrial sculptures provide something to look at while the food arrives, though sometimes the hipster staff is even more captivating. The music, which ranges from hip-hop to Czech rock, can be quite loud.
