Fodor's Review:
Renovations in 2001 added finer furniture and room safes to this hotel. The Smíchov neighborhood has several good restaurants (including the U Mikuláse Dacického wine tavern, across the street from the hotel); shopping at the Nový Smíchov mall (which is behind the hotel); and nice strolls along the river or up the Petrín hill. The wine cellar serves as a breakfast room and can be booked for group dinners. It's a 10-minute walk to the historic center; trams are a block away.
