Cigoc

The charming village of Cigoc is officially known as the "European Village of Storks" because it draws so many of the migrating birds each spring, and a testament is its annual Stork Festival in late June. That said, people live here, too, as attested to by the wooden, thatched-roof houses that are likewise a sight to behold. But several hundred of the birds while away much of the summer here before most embark on the long journey to southern Africa.
