Tucked away in the corner of the main square is the Gradski muzej, whose collection of some 30,000 items comprises almost 20 display rooms on three floors covering regional archaeology, history, art, and ethnography from prehistoric times to the present day. You'll find paintings by regional artists, including family portraits by the renowned 19th-century painter Gustav Poša, and early-20th-century work by Miroslav Kraljević. There are also regional folk costumes and embroidery, ancient pottery and jewelry, and artifacts from the Roman occupation of the region. From time to time, they host an exhibition called Museum in a Pot, which explores the gastronomic heritage of Slavonia (the best part: you can eat the exhibits at the end!).
