1. American Bar Dollar

Located in the Upper Town, across the street from the tourist information center, American Bar Dollar is a hot spot that serves burgers, ribs, and craft beers in a space with kitschy, vintage Americana decor. It's a fun place to hang out with the local cool kids.

This spacious, stylish pub with an outdoor terrace just off the main square in Tvrđa is a great option for a few drinks in the evening. They also have substantial American-style pub grub with excellent burgers and ribs, and a good selection of veggie burgers.

The main square in Tvrđa is lined with café-bars and terraces, distinguishable only by their different-colored umbrellas. St. Patrick's Pub, a paean to all things Irish, was the pioneer, and still one of the most popular.

A great place for your afternoon coffee break is on the terrace of The Kavana, right in the shadow of the Cathedral. It's a stylish café with revolving art installations, designer furniture from Istanbul, and the bragging rights of being the only café in town that serves Lavazza coffee.

6. Trica

A popular student hangout on a side street beside Hotel Osijek with a lively soundtrack and quirky decor, Trica stretches over three rooms on split levels, with a few tables in the little garden out back. It's great for a coffee or cocktail any time of day.
