Close to the train station, a 10-minute walk from the cathedral and the town center if you follow ulica Matije Gupca but still very much in town, you will notice the unmistakable smell of horse. That is because you are approaching the Lipizzaner stud farm, where several dozen of these prized white horses are trained. Although there are generally no scheduled events here except during the Dakovo Embroidery Festival, you will probably be allowed in to take a glimpse of the horses while training if you stop by in the morning.
