Opened in 2006, the Arka's popularity with locals has much to do with where it is: inside a multipurpose boat docked permanently on the Danube behind the Dunav Hotel. The vessel also has a covered terrace furnished with reed armchairs, where you can dine in good weather; and the lower decks include both a bar and a dance club. Fortunately, the menu is also quite good, with grilled meats, Wiener schnitzel, poultry, and steak, not to mention scrumptious desserts like palacinke (crepes).
