Fodor's Expert Review Hotel Apoksiomen
Riva Lošinjskih kapetana 1, Mali Lošinj, Primorsko-Goranska, 51550, Croatia
Named after a Greek statue that was recovered from the seabed near Mali Lošinj in 1999, this renovated villa imposes itself on the seafront close to the main square and is a model of a modern, small hotel. Remarkably clean, the polished marble interior lends itself to a feeling that the establishment is eagerly awaiting the arrival of guests. Rooms are comfortable and protected from noise on the busy seafront by double-glazed windows, though the decor may seem a bit pedestrian compared with the promise of the exterior. The staff are efficient and eager to please. Parking is 100 meters from the hotel, and costs a whopping 90 Kn a day.
