Kuca Marca Pola (Marco Polo House)

Kuca Marca Pola (Marco Polo House) Review

A couple of blocks east of the main square is the place where the legendary 13th-century discoverer is said to have been born, when Korcula was part of the Venetian Empire. At present only the tower is open, with a modest exhibition about Polo's life on the first floor and a belvedere up top offering panoramic views. There are plans to restore the entire house and garden to form an educational museum, though this project is unlikely to be realized in the near future.
