Virtually all the rivers of the Ardennes are great for canoeing, and the meandering Amblève is one of the best. Single or double kayaks can be rented April-October at Cookayak (Stavelot. 04/7370-4584. www.cookayak.be) for a 9-km (5-mi) ride from Coo to Cheneux (about 1½ hrs) or a 23-km (14-mi) ride to Lorcé (about 3½ hrs). Bus service back to the starting point is provided.
