Getting Here & Around

Trains to Liège run from Brussels at least twice every hour, taking between an hour and an hour and a half, depending on the number of interim stops. Hourly regional trains run directly between Antwerp Central and Liège, taking 2¼ hours to complete the journey. However, you can shave 30 minutes off this trip by taking the faster intercity trains in the direction of Brussels, and connecting in Brussels North.

Although not commonly used in the other towns, taxis are plentiful in Liège. They can be picked up at cab stands in the principal squares or summoned by phone. Fares are EUR 2.11 plus EUR 1.10 per km in the city and EUR 2.40 per km when you leave the city.
