Remember that municipal museums are usually closed Monday. Also keep in mind that some sights, such as the Gravensteen and the Belfort, stop admitting visitors 30-45 minutes before closing time. Although most sites are closed in the evening, many of the prime buildings are illuminated and the view from the bridge at night is stunning—the best view is via a canal-side stroll in late evening.
