De Dulle Griet is a quintessential Gent pub. It has more than 250 kinds of drinks but specializes in the 1.2-liter Kwak beer, complete with a collector's stein and stand—ask for a "Max." If you brave this beer, though, you must leave one of your shoes as deposit when you order. The pub is open from noon until 1 or 2 am, apart from Sunday evening when it closes early.
