Jan Breydel
Jan Breydel Review
A gardenlike setting makes this little bistro a great place to stop while exploring the historic town center. Proprietors Louis and Pat Hellebaut oversee the preparation of each dish, and the food is as fresh as the atmosphere. Regional ingredients are complemented by delicate sauces and seasonings. The sole with lime butter is excellent; for the more adventurous, there are veal kidneys and sweetbreads with mustard. The three-course set menu includes wine, and represents good value for money.
