La Porte des Indes
La Porte des Indes Review
This is the city's foremost Indian restaurant—the creation of Karl Steppe, a Belgian antiques dealer turned restaurateur. The gracious staff wears traditional Indian attire, and the interior is warmed by wood carvings and a rich red-and-mauve color scheme. A vegetarian menu is available and the daily lunch menus are good value. Order the "brass tray" to try an assortment of specialties.
