Fodor's Review

A block from the Grand'Place, the Amigo pairs contemporary design and understated luxury with antiques and plush wall hangings. Rooms are decorated in green, red, or blue, with silk curtains, leather headboards, and a mix of modern furniture and antiques. Works by Belgian artists hang on the walls, and Tintin pictures and figurines cheer up the mosaic-tiled bathrooms. If you'd like a view over the surrounding rooftops, ask for a room on one of the higher floors (these

also cost more). The Presidential Suite is the sort of place real presidents stay in, but mere mortals will have to hand over a four-figure sum (and more) per night for the pleasure.

Great service Great location

The location is wonderful. Not only is it close to the Grande Place, but also only a ten to twenty minute walk to many of the different areas around town. I had some problems during my stay but they were handled immediatly. The price is higher than most but well worth it.

Service and Location

Extremely convenient location and very welcoming service make this hotel a great value, especially on the weekends when the rates are discounted. The concierge service was exceptionally helpful and gracious; our only complaint is that, according to a high priced restaurant that we reserved for our last day in Brussels, the concierge cancelled our reservation when we checked out to spend a few days in Bruges.

Phenomenal- best Location, best Service...best Concierce... the best in Brussels !!!

If you are going to Brussels, don't bother staying anywhere else. Rooms were tiny but very clean and "crisp". Fantastic shower and very comfortable & luxurious bathrooms with robes. Europe was going through a heat wave but air conditioning was excellent. Concierge greated us by name. Very cordial and servicefull. Room service breakfast a bit skimpy and expensive- other than that- everything was great. Location could not be better, right in

the center of all attractions and walkable to everything. I would not hesitate to stay at the Amigo again.

Good place

Jujst stayed at the Amigo hotel in Brussels and liked it very much – nicely decorated (smallish) rooms, good beds and EXCELLENT shower, very clean, good service (except in the restaurant at breakfast). The location right behind the Grand Place and within walking distance to Central station was also a plus, although the surrounding streets are a bit tacky. Also, a/c seemed a bit weak. Excellent weekend rates!
