Fodor's Review:

Originally this elegant Flemish Baroque church served as the center for the béguines (lay sisters) who lived in houses clustered around it. The interior has preserved its Gothic elements, with soaring vaults. The surprisingly different architectural styles combine to make this one of the most attractive churches in Brussels. A number of streets converge on the small, serene, circular square, which is surrounded by buildings that help create a harmonious architectural whole.
