Visitor Information

All of the city and regional tourist offices in Flanders have English-speaking staff. Westtoerisme provides info on the whole area. Brugge's visitor information bureau is open daily year-round, though it closes for lunch breaks on weekends. In addition to its guides and services, it has a set of lockers where you can store your bags; buy a locker token at the desk for EUR 1. A small branch office, also with lockers, is in the train station.

The opening hours of the coastal tourist offices vary. Some are open daily (Oostende), others are open daily but close for lunch (Knokke-Heist), and a few close on at least one weekend day fall through spring (De Panne, Koksijde). In the peak summer season, most keep slightly longer hours. The regional tourism ministry hosts www.dekust.org, a Web site on the coastal resorts that has pages translated in English and lots of helpful links.
