Damme

Getting Here & Around

The road from Brugge to Damme follows the canal and is a short ride (by bike or car) through one of the most beautiful parts of le plat pays (the flat country). From Brugge take R30 (the circular road around the city) and follow the Damse Vaart-Zuid. There is no train service, but bus line 43 connects Brugge's train station and Markt with Damme in about 15 minutes; buses run hourly during the middle of the day. You can travel by boat between Easter and the end of September. The river barge Lamme Goedzak runs five times a day, and a round-trip costs EUR 7.
