Getting Here & Around

Achel is a tiny village in the northeast corner of Belgium on the Dutch border. From Brussels take the E40 in the direction of Liège; jump on the E314 in Leuven and keep following directions to Aachen (Germany) until exit 29; take the N715 to Hechtel; from there it's a few kilometers to the center of Peer on the N73; finally, take the N748 through the woods to Achel. From Antwerp take the E313 towards Hasselt; get off at exit 23; follow the four-lane N71 to Overpelt; crisscross towards Neerpelt; take the N712 toward Hamont and follow Achel at the crossroads with the N748. There is no train service.
