A stark, glass-and-black-metal construction, this riverside café and restaurant was designed by avant-garde architect bOb (his spelling) Van Reeth; it resembles a docked cruise ship. You're virtually assured a good view, since large windows stretch on all sides. You'll have the river traffic on one side and, on the other, a view of the cathedral and the Oude Stad. The food is as modern as the surroundings, with dishes such as salmon lasagna with fresh basil.
