In fall 2004, this photography museum reopened with a new wing designed by architect Georges Baines. The new section includes two spaces for temporary exhibits, two auditoriums for films, a café, and a shop. The collection here celebrates the likes of Henri Cartier-Bresson, William Klein, and Man Ray. There's also a display tracing the history of photography, from the "miragioscope" of the early 19th century to a James Bond camera disguised as a gun. Temporary exhibits, lectures, and workshops enhance the permanent shows.
