Originally established as a hotel for sailors, the Seamen's House is now open to all. (Sailors make up nearly half of the clientele, though, and they reap a significant discount.) Standard single and double rooms have showers; deluxe rooms have full baths, refrigerators, and in-room safes. The self-service restaurant carries on the tradition of a friendly meeting place.
