Katzenturm Review

From the cathedral, walk toward the river, past the district government offices (once a Jesuit monastery) and the bishop's palace, a block back of Herrengasse, to the Katzenturm (literally, "cats' tower"; figuratively, "the clergy"), reconstructed by Emperor Maximilian I. This is the most prominent remnant of the town's fortifications and now holds the 7½-ton town bell.
