This half-timbered house with a gabled roof is right on the shore of Lake Constance, next to the floating stage used for the Bregenz Festival. The menu has the usual Austrian favorites, from schnitzel to Zwiebelrostbraten (a skirt steak topped with crispy fried onions), fresh fish, and a worthy wine list. Some dishes from Germany and Switzerland—which you can see without moving from your chair—are also offered. The main attraction here is the spectacular lake view. You can watch the steamers from the nearby harbor go by from the restaurant's extensive outdoor terrace.
