Brand

Since it was first settled by Swiss exiles centuries ago, the lush and beautiful Brand Valley has attracted many travelers interested in visiting the enormous glaciers and one of the largest lakes in the Alps, located near the town. Today Brand is known as a health resort and a winter-sports center. Its hotels lie at the foot of the Scesaplana mountain group (which marks the Swiss border and is the highest range in the Rätikon). There are no rail lines to Brand, so the best way to reach the resort is to take the train to Bludenz and then the bus from there to Brand.
