Korso Review

In the Bristol Hotel, just across from the Staatsoper, the Korso bei der Oper has always been one of the favorites of Vienna's posh crowd. Chef Reinhard Gerer's specialty is fish, and he's known throughout Austria for his creative touch. Try the delicately fried Rotbarsch (rosefish) paired with crispy fried parsley and the smoothest of pureed polenta. Salzkammergut lake trout is grilled and drizzled with a sensational shallot sauce, and Saibling (char) caviar is enhanced with organic olive oil.
