balls
balls Review
The gala Vienna evening you've always dreamed about can become a reality: among the many balls given during the Carnival season, several welcome the public—at a wide range of prices, from about €75 to €450 and up, per person. Dates change every year, but most balls are held in January and February. The dress code for all is "full dress," and they usually run between 8 or 9 pm and 3 or 4 am. Food and drink is always available. Some of the more popular balls are the Hofburg Ball known as the Kaiserball (Emperor Ball), the Philharmoniker Ball (Philharmonic Ball), the Bonbon Ball (Confection Ball), the Blumen Ball (Florists' Ball), and the most famous and expensive of them all, the Opernball (Opera Ball). For more information see the event page of the Vienna Info.
