The area between Linke and Rechte Wienzeile is home to the Naschmarkt, Vienna's main outdoor produce market. It's certainly one of Europe's—if not the world's—great open-air markets, where packed rows of polished and stacked fruits and vegetables compete for visual appeal with braces of fresh pheasant in season. Also here are fragrant spices, redolent of Asia or the Middle East. In winter, many stalls shorten their hours. Be sure you get the correct change and watch the scales when your goods are weighed.
