Loibnerhof

Loibnerhof Review

It's hard to imagine a more idyllic frame for a memorable meal, especially if the weather is fine and tables are set out in the fragrant apple orchard. One of the oldest restaurants in the area, its kitchen offers inventive variations on regional themes: Wachau fish soup, crispy roast duck, and various grilled fish specialties. The house is famous for its Butterschnitzel, an exquisite variation on the theme of ground meat (this one's panfried veal with a touch of pork). To reach Loibnerhof, look for the Unterloiben exit a mile east of Dürnstein.
